Dr. Lomivorotov graduated from Novosibirsk State Medical University in 2000. In 2001 he defended his Candidate's Thesis, and in 2004 - his Doctor's thesis, specializing in anesthesiology and intensive care. Since 2016, Dr. Lomivorotov has been a Correspondent Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

He is a visiting reviewer of manuscripts submitted to British Journal of Anaesthesia, BMC Anesthesiology, European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Perfusion. Dr. Lomivorotov is a member of Editorial Boards of five Russian Journals - Circulation Pathology and Cardiac Surgery, Messenger of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Translational Medicine, Russian Journal of Anaesthesiology and Reanimatology, and Intensive Care Herald.
Dr. Lomivorotov is regularly invited to give lectures at international conferences (Manchester, United Kingdom, 2015, Basel, Switzerland, 2016, Berlin, Germany, 2017, Nassau, Bahamas, 2018).
